Root & Crown Music Group is the label and company. Crown Assembly is its music collective: the shared identity through which its artists and collaborators make and present work together.
Our public roster brings together Maceo Raines, Tavian Rowe, Zaire Rowe, Janiyah Lennox, and Nahla Royce. Each artist has a distinct voice and perspective. The connection is a shared commitment to making the kind of music we actually want to hear, without being boxed into one sound.
Let the record lead
Gospel, R&B, rap, soul, and other influences can meet here without asking every artist to sound alike. Some records call for intimacy; others want hard drums, a choir, a sharper line, or room to laugh. We follow the idea and the person making it.
Inside the Crown gives those artists and collaborators a place to speak in their own voices about the work, the process, and the people around it.

Brandon works across writing, production, and the creative direction of Crown Assembly. He may appear on a record from time to time, while his primary focus is shaping the songs, ideas, and world around the collective.
Curtis
Cofounder · Collaborator
Curtis is a cofounder and collaborator in Root & Crown Music Group and Crown Assembly. Together with Brandon, he helps carry the shared creative work behind the collective.
